After checking out a water village, a silk factory and a very cool garden, we headed back to the hotel and enjoyed a delicious beer. If you’re surprised at our lack of wine consumption, it’s due entirely to the 100% tariff placed on imported wine. Paying $50 in a stateside restaurant for a $20 bottle of wine is difficult enough to stomach. Paying $115 for the same bottle in China is just unsupportable. For the most part, we’ve been sticking to beer.
