Master of Nets Garden

The Master of Nets garden was totally awesome. I think it’s the most beautiful garden I’ve ever seen (except my Aunt Jan's, of course) and these pictures do not do it justice.

The most unique aspect of this garden is that it served both as living quarters and a garden retreat. Traditional Chinese gardens do not have living quarters. The owner of the garden’s office was a study in elegance and balance. Again, photos do not do the space justice.

Some bonsai.

We were so taken with the place that we each bought some traditional paintings done on silk from these two women at the gift shop. The people we’ve met in China have been remarkably nice and welcoming. My mother has remarked several times how much nicer the people are than in Japan.
